你们从没听说过Rain是可以理解的。因为在美国人主导娱乐行业的时代，Rain可能不会吸引太多西方媒体的注意，即使在亚洲他被认为是最红的明星。这就像我们以前从来没听说过Stephen Colbert一样，因为在中国从来没有播过他的节目。
[u]2）对那些说“Rain除了一个艺人什么也不是”的人[/u]
首先，我们必须承认艺人在我们的社会中扮演了很重要的角色，他们带给我们很多快乐和和谐，这也是为什么他们总是会吸引众多媒体的注意。而且艺人们也能成为有远见和具有优秀人格的人。
其次，除了是一个艺人，Rain鼓舞和启发了许多人。不像大部分年轻人一样在蜜罐里长大，Rain小的时候经历了许多坎坷，比如饥饿（他曾经因为没钱买饭3天没吃过东西），失去深爱的母亲（他的妈妈由于没钱接受好的治疗在他17岁的时候就去逝了），在面试的时候遭到不止10次的拒绝（只是因为他没有好看的脸蛋和双眼皮）等等。但是，Rain从没有气馁，相反，他为了自己的梦想和对妈妈的承诺夜以继日的练习，工作得更加刻苦了。
他的努力、忍耐和谦逊终于有了回报！如果你们曾经怀疑为什么有成千上万的人为Rain投票，并且把他作为生命中最有影响力的人，那么现在应该明白了吧！能够鼓舞如此多的人并且让Rain不同于其他歌手或演员的东西，不是他的音乐或者舞蹈，而是他的精神和性格特质。
[u]3）对那些说“Rain只是一个让人讨厌的歌手/舞者”的人

如果说Rain是一个“让人讨厌的歌手/舞者”，那么他一定还是一个“具有魔力的巫师”。因为这好像是唯一的方法可以解释：为什么从出道以来这么短的时间里，Rain凭借着如此让人讨厌的歌/舞，在亚洲获得了这么多的重要奖项（如MTV亚洲音乐大奖），在MTV Asia播放的各个国家取得最高荣誉，并且成为在纽约麦迪逊广场花园成功举办演唱会的唯一一位来自亚洲的艺人！
[u]4）对那些说“Rain只是亚洲的Omarion”的人[/u]
尽管Rain在音乐风格上跟Omarion很像，但是成长在一个完全不同的文化背景下，Rain有着不同的品味和风格。他的音乐和表演里蕴含着黑人或者西方艺人不可能拥有的东方气质和魅力。事实上，Rain正在努力建造一座能够沟通东西方并促进其文化交流的桥梁，他希望把亚洲的流行音乐和文化介绍给更多的西方人。
[u]5) 对那些问“Rain为我们的社会做了什么？他做过能够让我们的生活变得更好的事吗？”[/u]
我认为Rain对我们社会最大的贡献就是为年轻人—我们的未来树立了良好的榜样！作为一个年轻的明星，他一直秉承着健康的生活方式，从来没有丑闻或者坏习惯。他的成长经历让年轻人知道：只有自律，不屈不挠，坚持不懈，真诚和谦逊才能在追梦的道路上取得成功。
除了作为榜样，Rain一直在做许多慈善工作，比如举办慈善音乐会为残障基金会募集资金，为艾滋病人捐款，为柬埔寨六万多人捐建水井，为韩国的贫困儿童添购学习用品和游乐器材， 在台湾捐助孤儿院并探望孤儿，到医院探望并安慰病人，在寒冷的天气里到泰安帮助清理泄漏的原油...等等。
[u]6) 对那些说“Rain只是一个受欢迎的明星，他从来没有影响大众去做有意义的事”的人
[/u]这回你们真的大错特错了！尽管Rain在做慈善和志愿者工作的时候总是保持低调，但是他的歌迷知道他所做的每一件事。在Rain的影响下，歌迷（称作“云”）一直在跟着他的脚步做善事。他的中国歌迷会于2006年推出了“云彩行动”，旨在为中国贫困山区的女童募集资金让她们完成学业。在2008年3月22日世界水日那天“云彩行动”推出了新的行动项目，即帮助中国西北地区遭受缺水困扰的人们建造集雨水窖，把雨水净化为他们的饮用水。今年年初，他的美国歌迷会在得知Rain作为志愿者在泰安帮助清除泄漏的原油后，特别募集了救灾款项。泰安的官员说因为天气很冷，志愿者的人数每天都在减少，但是Rain作为志愿者的消息公布后，志愿者和捐款的数量马上开始上升... 这只是两个典型的例子，旨在说明Rain的善举以及他是怎样影响大众的。
[u]7) 对那些说“Rain没有参选的资格，因为他在过去的一年里取消了无数的演唱会”的人

是的，去年由于各种原因Rain取消了在美国的几场演唱会。那时候Rain还是JYP旗下的签约艺人，他对于在哪举办演唱会、由谁承办和宣传演唱会等没有任何的掌控权利。他所能做的只是努力的练习，做好充分的准备，为观众呈现出完美的表演。
试想一下，当一个孜孜不倦的年轻人终于有机会要展现自己苦练了几年的成果的时候，突然有管理层告诉他“演唱会不得不被取消，因为舞台还没有搭建好...”你们觉得把所有的责任和指责都推给这个年轻人公平吗？！
尽管这根本不是Rain的错，但是他还是主动的反省自己而不是指责别人，并且从他人的错误中学习经验教训。为了能有权作出决策，Rain在去年5月和JYP的合同到期后果断地成立了自己的经纪公司。他还选择了最好的战略合作伙伴-WMA世界上最大的娱乐经纪公司，以协助他拓展美国市场。其实，每个人都会犯错误，但是我们不应该只看重错误本身，我们应该关注这个人是否能从错误中学到东西，是否能在将来取得更大的进步，难道不是吗？很显然，Rain做到了这点！
[u]8) 对那些怀疑“Rain之所以能领先是因为他的歌迷多次重复投票”的人[/u]
亚洲作为地球上人口最多的地区，根据互联网世界统计，它的互联网用户数将近整个美国人口的两倍。如果你们能看到Rain在亚洲的受欢迎程度，就根本不会怀疑60万左右的投票数对于Rain的整个亚洲歌迷群来说简直就像大海里的水滴。
首先，Rain的歌迷根本不必重复投票去超越其他的候选人的票数，因为他的歌迷数量远远超出你的想象。第二，就算一些歌迷是真的重复投票，不正好强有力的证明了他们对Rain的爱以及Rain在他们心中的重要意义吗？！
[u]9) 对那些认为Rain歌迷的投票都是“没有价值、不值得一提”的人[/u]
尽管Rain在亚洲有多元化的歌迷群体，但大多数的歌迷还是年轻人。他们在10年后将会成为这个世界的主导力量，更重要的是，他们来自亚洲！应该没有人会否认：在新的世纪，亚洲正日益成为世界上最重要和最具影响的力量，不仅在经济上而且在文化上。如果你们忽视来自亚洲年轻人的声音的话，你们一定会面临被远远抛在后面的风险。
[u]10) 对那些称Rain的歌迷“愚蠢的亚洲丫头”“白痴”“疯小孩”的人

首先，如果你们去看看是谁在排队买Rain的演唱会的门票，就会发现：原来Rain的歌迷年龄跨度如此之大，从十几岁的孩子到成年人，从妈妈到奶奶。
其次，难道你们没发现这些被你们称为“白痴”的人
--竟然比那些声称自己很聪明的人更知道怎样尊重他人（即使他们有不同的见解）吗？！
--竟然比那些声称自己有很高素质的人更知道某些社会礼仪（比如对于不了解的人不应该妄加评论）吗？！
--竟然比那些声称自己受过良好教育且优于别人的人更知道人类社会最基本的道德准则（比如不应该为了达到自己的目的而用欺骗、无耻的手段诬蔑和诋毁他人）吗？！
我们必须要感谢Rain-他们的偶像，因为是Rain为他们作出了优秀的好榜样！我一直在想，如果有更多的人能被Rain和他的精神所影响、所感动，那么对于这个世界不是一件很大的幸事吗？！
我们还应该感谢那些对Rain和他的歌迷提出以上质疑和批评的人，因为他们给了世界一个很好的机会去了解年轻的Rain究竟给了他的歌迷和世界什么样的影响，以及Rain为什么值得被列在候选人的名单里。
事实上，比起其他的候选人，Rain仍然还很年轻，他仍然有很多事要去学习、去提高自己。但是我坚信Rain有潜力为这个世界作出更大的贡献，如果世界能给他更多的机会和支持！女士们先生们！对于这样一个才华横溢、勤奋刻苦、正直善良、谦逊好学的年轻人，我们为什么一定要表现得如此苛求和粗暴呢？！！
最后，对于TIME
我觉得TIME应该认真的真诚的感谢Rain，因为他为你们的网站和杂志带来了如此可观的浏览量！

2, Bill Gates— for making computer an indispensable part of our lives, for making our planet a small village by transforming our communication methods and for being a great philanthropist
3, Hilary Clinton— for her courage of penetrating the powerful world of men with her grace and wisdom, for her ability to bring about change and for her proving to women that there are no limits for success.
4, Al Gore— for his raising the awareness of climate change, for his improving our understanding of the climate crisis, and for his effectively urging all mankind to act on this planetary emergency.

1) To those who asked “Who the hell is Rain?”
It’s understandable that you have never heard of Rain, because he may not catch a lot of western media attention in an era of Americans dominating the entertainment industry even though he is widely recognized as the hottest artist in Asia. It is just like we’ve never heard of Stephen Colbert before because there is no television coverage for his show over here in China.
2) To those who said “Rain is nobody but a simple entertainer”
First, we have to admit that entertainers play an important role in our society and bring us a lot of happiness, joy and harmony, which is one of the reasons why they have been attracting tremendous media attention. Entertainers could also become great people with great vision and great personalities.
Second, Rain is truly an inspiration to many people besides being an entertainer. Rain did not grow up in a honey pot as the majority of today’s youngsters did. He has gone through lots of hardships in his early years such as hunger (he once didn’t eat for 3 days because of no money for food), losing his beloved mother (his mom passed away when he was only 17 as the family had no money to give her proper medical treatments in time), being rejected over ten times in his auditions (only because he does not have a good looking face and double eye lids) so on and so forth. But Rain was never dismayed. On the contrary, he practiced day in and day out and worked even harder for his dreams and his promise to his mom.
His endless effort, endurance and modesty finally paid off! If you doubted that why there are thousands of people voting for Rain as one of the most influential people in their lives, now you should get a clue. It is not only his music or dancing but more importantly his spirit and personality that have inspired so many people and set Rain apart from other singers/actors.
3) To those who said “Rain is just a horrible singer/dancer”
If it was true, I would rather say that Rain is not only a “horrible singer/dancer”, but also a “magic witch” because it seems to be the only way to justify why Rain has achieved so many significant awards in Asia such as MTV Asia Grand Slam, secured top honors in all the Asian countries which broadcast MTV Asia and become the first Asian artist ever to hold concerts at the Madison Square Garden in New York within such a short period time since his debut while he is singing/dancing so horribly!
4) To those who said “Rain is just an Asian Omarion”
Although Rain makes similar music in terms of genre as Omarion does, growing up in a totally different cultural background gives Rain a different taste and style. He’s got some unique and gentle Asian elements in his music and performance which black or western artists do not possibly possess. As we can see, Rain is striving to build a bridge between the east and the west, promote effective cultural exchanges and introduce Asian pop music and culture to more western people.
5) To those who asked “What has he done for our society and the human race or anything of use that will help make our lives better?”
I think the biggest contribution that Rain has made to our society is that he set an example for young people—our future! As a young superstar, he leads a very healthy life and is very far from scandals and bad behaviors. His growing path has taught young people that they should be self-disciplined, tenacious, persistent, sincere and humble to achieve success on the way of pursuing their dreams.
Besides being a role mole, Rain has been doing lots of charity work such as holding philanthropic concerts to raise fund for the disabled, donating for AIDS patients, building wells to provide pure water for over 60,000 people in Cambodia, buying stationeries and entertaining equipments for poor children in Korea, donating and visiting orphans in Taiwan, visiting and comforting patients in hospitals, helping clear up the oil spill in TaeAn under very cold temperature, you name it…
6) To those who said “Rain is simply just a pop star. He never influenced the public to take positive action to a cause.”
You are so wrong! Although Rain kept a low profile while doing charitable and voluntary work, his fans knew everything about what he has done. Thanks to Rain’s influence, his fans have been following in his footsteps. His fan club in China launched “Cloud Project” in 2006 aiming to raise funds from Rain's fans (known as Cloud) and assist girls deprived of education from poverty-stricken regions of China to return to school. On March 22 2008—World Water Day “Cloud Project” launched another program, donating and helping people who are suffering drought in north-western China build water tanks to collect and purify precious rain as their drinking water. His fan club in the US sent the disaster fund to TaeAn for clearing up the oil spill after hearing about Rain’s voluntary deed in TaeAn early this year. Officials in TaeAn said because of cold weather, the numbers of volunteers were decreasing every day, but after the news of Rain's good deed, the number of volunteers and donations were starting to grow… These are just a couple of examples of what Rain has done and how he has influenced the public.
7) To those who said “Rain was not qualified for the list because he cancelled numerous concerts in the past year”
It was true that a few Rain’s concerts in the US were canceled last year due to various reasons. During that time Rain was still a contract singer within JYP (Rain’s former agency company), he didn’t have any control whatsoever over where to hold the concerts, who to manage the concerts who to promote the concerts and so on. What he could do was to get himself well prepared in terms of singing and dancing and to deliver the best performance as possible for the audience.
Imagine: when a dedicated young man finally got a chance and was about to show his works which he spent years of time working on, suddenly the management told him “the concert has to be canceled as the stage is not ready yet”, do you think it is fair that this young man should take all the responsibilities and bear all the blame?!
Although it was not his fault at all, Rain actively reflected on himself instead of blaming others and was also able to learn lessons from other’s mistakes. In order to have the right to make decisions, Rain established his own agency company soon after his contract with JYP ended last May. He also opted for the best strategic partner- WMA the world’s largest talent agency to assist him to develop the US market. In fact, everyone makes mistakes, but we should not be merely focusing on mistakes themselves, we should look at whether this person is able to learn from those mistakes and able to make progress in the future, shouldn't we? Apparently, Rain did it!
8) To those who suspected that Rain’s topping the list through his fans voting several times
Asia, as the most populated area on the planet, its internet users are nearly two times the whole American population according to Internet World Stats. If you could see how popular Rain is in Asia, you would not doubt at all that the number of 600,000 or so votes is just a drop in the ocean. First, Rain fans don’t have to vote several times to outnumber other candidates’ votes because his fan base is far much larger than you could even imagine. Second, even if some of his fans had voted several times, would it have strongly proved that how devoted they are to Rain and how much Rain means to them?!
9) To those who considered Rain fans’ votes “frivolous voting”
Although Rain’s got a diversified fan base in Asia, a big number of them are still youngsters. They will be leading and shaping our world maybe 10 years from now, more importantly, most of them are from Asia. I think no one would deny the fact that Asia is increasingly becoming world’s most significant and influential power in the new century, not only in economy but in culture. If you overlook the voice of Asian youngsters, you’ll surely have a risk of being lagged behind.
10) To those who called Rain fans “dumbass” “stupid Asian girls” “idiots” “crazy little kids”
First, if you went to look at who was queuing outside of the box offices for Rain’s concerts, you would find out that his fan base ranges from teenagers to young adults, from moms to grand moms. Second,
--Haven’t you found out that these idiots (as you call them) even know better about how to respect other people even if they have opposite opinions than those who claim to be intelligent?!
--Haven’t you also found out that they know better about certain common sense - for example one should not comment relentlessly on people whom they don’t even know about - than those who claim to be cultured?!
--Haven’t you even found out that they know better about basic standards of morality in the human society - for example one should not defame or undermine others in order to reach their own objectives especially by acting fraudulently and disgracefully - than those who claim to be well-educated and superior?!
We must thank Rain- their idol for having been such a wonderful role model to them! I was just wondering if more people could be influenced by Rain and his spirit, wouldn’t it be a great thing for the whole world?
We should also thank those people who came up with all the above suspicion and criticism on Rain and his Clouds for giving the world such a good chance to learn what influence this young man has created to his fans and to the rest of the world and how well he deserves to be on the top of the list!
In fact, compared with other candidates, Rain is still very young and he’s still got a lot of things to learn and to improve himself. But I firmly believe that Rain has the potential for doing more to the world if the world could give him more chances and more support! Ladies and gentlemen! Do we have to be so mean and demanding to such a talented, diligent, upright, gentle and humble young man?!!
Finally to TIME, I think TIME should seriously give Rain a big thank for bringing so much viewing volume to your website and your magazine!

..回答的很好 写的好，写的一级棒，这个留言要让老美看看，支持宝宝的人是多么真诚和无私。 亲说得很棒，那些说我们是白痴、疯小孩的人才是真的神经病！！！那些人因为得不到如智熏般的成功，才出言抵毁我们的智熏的！所谓清者自清，出言不逊者必会受到社会、上帝的责备！ 也许这里提到政治上的话题并不合适，但近来身边发生的事，让我不得不一吐为快。
我现在对于Times上发生诋毁Rain的事情一点都不奇怪了，因为我已经明白了欧美媒体和不少欧美人为人处世的态度。现实是这么多人现在已经开始打压Rain成功的可能性了，这样的用心实在恶毒。为了力捧自己的明星，什么手段都做得出来。
我想大家都应该知道这次中国奥运会圣火境外传递所受的干扰和非难吧。身处前线，感受就更强烈了。藏独分子让和平生活友谊圣火处处被打压。当然几个小小的藏独分子并没有什么可说的，但BBC，ABC，NBC，德国媒体，法国媒体，瑞典媒体等，几乎所有的发达国家都一边倒地支持藏独分子，进行歪曲报道。
于是乎，大片的五星红旗视而不见，独独出现藏独标语和旗帜。藏族暴徒杀害汉族和其他民族的同胞视而不见，裁减了照片诬蔑中国政府镇压“和平示威”。“和平示威”？怎么会有僧人用大石头把人活活砸死？把全家人用火活活烧死？所谓“流亡政府”发言人面对暴徒杀人的指责，竟说藏族人传统中暴力是对生命的伤害，打人不算什么暴力，打死了人和烧死了人是汉人不知道自己逃跑，是意外！死了也是意外！（言下之意是活该）可是如此无耻的话语，所有正规媒体全部忽略！留学生们气不过，去上述所有媒体的留言版揭示真相，去Youtube上发视频，竟然全部被删除，屏蔽，德国更是把所有来自中国的网站统统屏蔽！愚弄国内舆论。法国的报道更是令人发指，找不到藏独分子，就假惺惺地采访国内的留学生。第二天大家都傻了眼，明明手里举的是五星红旗，结果被裁剪去。所有的话语胡编乱造，把爱国留学生编造成了支持[被屏蔽词语]独立的“民权人士”！！！法国当地人都帮藏独分子叫好，竟然只是为了得到一天300欧元的劳务费，还厚颜跟爱国学生“商量”：出350到400欧元，帮中国“呐喊”。我呸！
现在，西方的网站上几乎全是侮辱中国的帖子，要是再多懂几门外语，都要被活活气死了。不是海外华人不作为，大家都怒火中烧，都在通过各种途径反抗，但是国外媒体就是删我们揭示真相的东西！写了也白写。跟整个中国做对，再也不想提他们了。
所以说，我觉得Time现在出现这样的情况，已经摆明了西方的态度，不让Rain出头，工具在他们手里，玩弄我们易如反掌。试想，连一个国家都能玩弄，他们有什么做不出来？？！！？
身处各种漩涡的前线，让我一下子明白了西方媒体的真正面目。
西方社会不少人士就是那种对自己问题视而不见，对别人指手画脚，你敢说不，立马封杀你，一切规则都是他们来定的。可悲的国民更加相信自己国家的媒体，也缺乏主动了解不同意见的主观能动性。
我现在觉得，我们也没有必要再讨好西方人了。
对于Rain进军欧美尤其是美国（媒体对于东方社会无耻到极点的地方），能被西方大众接受最好，反正回来大家依然把他当成宝贝，真正支持他的人不会因为他成绩不佳而离开他的。
既然就是喜欢你们自己的人，那也好，但也要说明白了，亚洲人是不会为了讨好你们，做侮辱自己尊严的事的！

但对于楼上所说，我还想补充两句。西方是个言论自由的国家，任何人可以支持任何事情。就算是错的。
所以，不必说太多了！ 不是这样的，要是代表中国的发言都在那里，都被保留，如果他们平均报道两个方面的事情，我也不会气愤了，因为他们保持了自己的职业操守。可现实情况是支持中国的声音一律被删除，听不得跟他们主流媒体不同的声音，这叫“言论自由”？过去我也是这么相信的，现在我再也不相信了。
